Earlier this year we shared a number of progress shots from our work at the Dandenong Animal Emergency Centre. Over a number of months we delivered all things electrical and communications at this new state of the art medical facility. Now, after the completion of this project and before we move onto a number of new large-scale ventures, we wanted to take the opportunity to share some final images of how this project came together and to highlight some of the amazing work that this new hospital will be facilitating.
The new hospital features advanced surgical theatres, imaging suites, dedicated canine and feline intensive care units, custom built 1.5T MRI, CT, digital x-ray, ultrasound, fluoroscopy and lots more.
The first Animal Emergency Centre (AEC) at Mount Waverley was founded in 1975 when a group of Melbourne Veterinary Practitioners decided that a better facility was required to serve their clients when in need of emergency treatment. Centres can now be found across Australia, with the latest additionthis new purpose built facility at 36 Lonsdale Street Dandenong. The facility is now also host to the Veterinary Referral Hospital (VRH) who has relocated their services from Hallam.
The new state-of-the-art veterinary hospital provides emergency and specialist services to pets in need, using the highest standards of emergency and critical care medicine and surgery. The VRH in particular hosts a comprehensive referral facility for animals with severe, complex or prolonged conditions. They provide the specialised equipment and expertise that is beyond what can be delivered in a general veterinary practice.
